Labour MPs On Fylde Object To Fracking In Lancashire

Cat Smith, Labour MP for Fleetwood, has today chipped Lancashire County Council paperwork with 1000 peoples’ signatures to say NO FRACKING IN LANCASHIRE

Rumour has it that Lancashire County Council have had to hire more staff to deal with the numbers of letters saying NO FRACKING IN LANCASHIRE and that Guinness are checking their records to see if FRACK FREE LANCASHIRE have made the record books for numbers of polite letters written to a Council

The Northern Summer Of Love, Lancashire Environmental Festival

#WeAreAllLancashire  #LoveLancashire #LoveNature #FrackStopsHere

Friday 19th June – Friday 26th June 2015

The Lancashire Environment is the focus of a week long series of events beginning with Natures’ Way Summer Solstice Camp on The Fylde and the official re-opening of the Marsh Mill Windmill, Thornton, a celebration of Lancashires’ original form of renewable energy

Organisations such as Frack Free Lancashire, Green Party, Friends of the Earth, 38 Degrees, Frack Off, Greenpeace, Reclaim the Power, This Changes Everything, Northern Greenhouse and Fylde Future are all hosting events, featuring speeches from prominent environmental figures, celebrities, politicians and union leaders

Energy is the big topic of the moment with the direction of Lancashires’ energy future becoming an international issue

There is something for everyone happening in Lancashire this week – festivals, make your voice heard, protests, discussions, conferences, street theatre, home-made Lancashire cooking, hiking, birdwatching – it’s what Lancashire is all about

If common sense prevails and Lancashire County Council reject the fracking applications, then the party is guaranteed to be even BIGGER

Eco Pope Sighting Reported In Lancashire

#WeAreAllLancashire

#FrackStopsHere

Reports are being reported to The Northern Spring of a report of The Eco Pope in Lancashire

The anonymous report from a drinker at a pub said “I was that drunk that I can’t remember what pub it was at, but through my beer goggles, I’m sure it was The Pope!”

The Pope is rumoured to have said “Bless the frackers for they know not what they do, be kind on their soul and pray for them to see the error of their ways and transfer their dirty money to renewables as my mate Giuseppe has some top solar panels available”

The Pope is rumoured to be visiting Lancashire to speak to religious leaders, politicians and business people regarding the environment

The Eco Pope is thought be one of the many guest celebrity, union and political speakers at THE FRACK STOPS HERE in Preston, Lancashire Tuesday 23rd – Friday 26th June 2015

New Campaign Invites LCC, NW Energy Task Force & Cuadrilla To Join Global Divestment Movement

#GetUpAnd #savetheplanet

#WeAreAllLancashire

#FrackStopsHere

A new campaign has begun to invite Lancashire County Council, the North West Energy Task Force and Cuadrilla to join the Global Divestment movement to transfer from dirty industry and fossil fuels to clean, green renewable energy

The campaign is launched in the build-up to THE FRACK STOPS HERE in Lancashire June 23rd – June 26th 2015

https://www.change.org/p/lancashire-county-council-north-west-energy-task-force-cuadrilla-join-the-global-divestment-movement-lancashire-county-council-north-west-energy-task-force-amp-cuadrilla

The campaign petition reads:

“We, the people of Lancashire, request Cuadrilla withdraw their applications to frack anywhere on The Fylde, in Lancashire and the wider Northern region, as fracking has no social license and the fracking industry promised the people of Britain that they would not operate without a social license

The scientific case says NO Fracking, the financial case says NO FRACKING, the moral case says NO Fracking, common sense says NO Fracking, the political case says NO Fracking and, most importantly of all, the people of Lancashire say NO Fracking

We invite Lancashire County Council, the North West Energy Task Force and Cuadrilla to join the Global Divestment Movement and join the Renewable Energy revolution

The Council motto of Blackpool, the main urban centre of The Fylde, is Progress and it is time for real Progress

Real Progress is saying NO to fracking and making Blackpool a green town and the North of England a green region

David Cameron, the UK Prime Minister as of 17th June 2015, made a promise to the people to lead the Greenest Government Ever

Fracking and all forms of extreme energy are completely incompatible with the Greenest Government Ever, therefore, fracking should not happen in the United Kingdom

We recognise the need for employment and energy solutions on The Fylde, and the wider North-West region, and recognise the efforts of the North West Energy Task Force in their attempts to find solutions, however, we reject their argument that fracking is the way forward and make an invitation to the North West Energy Task Force to join the green, sustainable revolution

We request that Lancashire County Council join the Global Divestment Movement and make plans to transfer all financial assets from fossil fuels and dirty industry to clean, green, sustainable industry, and make an urgent plan to tackle all emissions that contribute to sea-level rise, a huge issue in Lancashire that should be a priority for all Lancastrian politicians

We request that Cuadrilla also join the Global Divestment movement, as a sound business move”

The petition is being distributed around social media via Twitter and facebook, to all political parties, and to politicians such as Andy Burnham of the Labour Party, Graham Brady and Paul Maynard of the Conservative Party

THE FRACK STOPS HERE

The eyes of the world are on Lancashire next week for THE FRACK STOPS HERE

#FrackStopsHere

Commencing Tuesday 23rd June 2015

Venue: Preston, Lancashire

Frack Free Lancashire is a grass-roots movement that has some incredible statistics and has made it into the Lancashire record books for organisational skills such as numbers of signatures on petitions and numbers of letters written and handed in to Lancashire County Council

Some time ago, David Cameron announced at a Conservative Party Conference that Blackpool was to become “Frackpool” a claim that had no real basis in reality and had not even been discussed with the people of The Fylde, despite earlier promising the British people the Greenest Government Ever!

Since then, Frack Free Lancashire has become the biggest social movement in the North and this story has progressed, like some very odd Northern version of Dallas – a city that has banned fracking! – to where we are now, fracking now a national joke, divestment a huge financial buzzword and the global green movement buoyant

Tuesday 23rd June 2015 THE FRACK STOPS HERE

Throughout the day – LANCASHIRE UNITES AGAINST FRACKING COMMUNITY FESTIVAL with music, entertainment and refreshments

All are welcome!

Pope Thought To Be Heading To The Frack Stops Here in Lancashire

Rumour has it that the Lancashire fracking issue has hit the international headlines so large that The Pope is on the way to Preston for a papal visit to see why the feck England is even bothering talking about fracking when everyone else is having a renewables revolution

The Pope, also known as The Eco Pope and Pope Greeney the First, is thought to want to speak to Lancashire Councillors regarding their decision whether to let the frackers frack the crap out of Lancashire despite 98% of polled people saying NO FRACKING IN LANCASHIRE, NO FRACKING ANYWHERE

The Pope is thought to be a central figure in a global Renewable Energy cabal and a spokesperson from The Vatican says “The Pope is proper green innit”

The Frack Stops Here takes place in Preston, Lancashire, commencing Tuesday 23rd June 2015
