  1. I agree totally that the Pomana docklands area needs to be protected and remain as a wildlife area. We have so many flats in the city of Manchester salford many of which are unoccupied most have extortionate rents that only benefit the rich and the developers, they do not benefit the local people of salford or Manchester or our precious environment. Having just returned from Barcelona, a beautiful vibrant city that is filled with beautiful parks and greenspaces I am reminded of the importance of having a green urban environment where people can go to relax and which allows the city to clear and clean its air more easily and to just breath. …..go to most European or Scandinavian cities and you will see green spaces. ….they understand how to design urban environments with their people and wildlife in mind. Why is it that in this country the councils and government are so ignorant and narrow minded with no long term view or vision of how a city scape can be created to be aesthetically pleasing to its occupants?! why are they allowed to be so driven by greed and short term profit?! an Eden of the north will not only be incredibly beneficial to the people and wildlife it will be an additional tourist attraction and so bring more people to the city. Look at how many people visit the Eden project in Cornwall! Please please please look to the future before destroying yet another piece of our precious heritage! Show us you care about the views of the people 🙂
