Join the UKs’ LARGEST EVER #antifracking MARCH

#BanFrackingNow  #UnitedAgainstFracking

SATURDAY 12th November 2016

Assemble 11am Picadilly Gardens Manchester

For 5 years the people of the North have been fighting fracking with minimal political support, we have beaten the Government in the corridors of power in Lancashire County Council, Client Earth have beaten the Government in court & now, in the global era of the Paris Agreement we demand “No Fracking In Lancashire! No Fracking Anywhere!”
Groups and communities from all over the UK are on their way into Manchester with coach travel arranged from Ireland, Scotland and Wales

A spokesperson from Frack Free Lancashire said: “We are overwhelmed with the massive effort that has gone into organising this national event, by so many people. This rally should be taken as a message to the government that we will not stand back and allow our communities to be overrun by dirty industry.”

Ban-Ki Moon, at COP22 in Marrakesh, has praised civil society in their efforts to pressure politicians to wake up on the environment so here we celebrate a new era for humanity, the Paris Agreement era

The Paris Agreement should include urgent climate change action such as an immediate global fracking ban, an immediate DAPL ban, no new wars & the de-escalation of wars that are currently happening
COP22 is the Conference for global co-operation & solution finding to climate change, we need urgent action, this March is the voice of the North for COP22 we shall be making a message to the world that we want fracking banned, not only in the UK, but a global fracking ban
Previous events such as the Manchester Climate March 2014 & the Barton Moss Solidarity Sundays have been more than just protests, with a family festival atmosphere
This event promises a positive, carnival vibe with drummers and musicians, and there is even a Dave Haslam Dj Set for all the ravers
Fracking is the front-line in the fight against climate change, so if you haven’t been to a March like this, come along, have some fun & see what it is all about

The MC for the event is Jenny Ross (Frack Free Greater Manchester/BBC Comedy Award winner/Sunday Show host)
